I certainly understand your position and that of your ad hoc group. While I agree with some of your geographical points, I maintain that your homes in Van Nuys (Sherman Oaks) will increase in value as part of Sherman Oaks. I am a Realtor and I know that as a fact. The drop across the board in value has no bearing on the certain image improvement to your section of Van Nuys. Eventually we will justify changing the name of any area we find undesirable. In that case, places like Van Nuys will disappear and places like Kester Ridge etc. will replace them. A rose by any other name...welcome to Sherman Oaks. The area is question is simply a continuation of the very similar section of Sherman Oaks to its immediate south, and there are geographical reasons for including the new section along with the rest of Sherman Oaks.
